Grilled Halloumi

Hot and fast, pine nuts, something sweet on top. The easiest crowd-pleaser on the meze table.

Ingredients

  • 1 package halloumi cheese
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • honey or pomegranate molasses, for drizzling
  • parsley, for garnish

Make it

  1. Heat the grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Slice the halloumi lengthwise into ¼ in slices.

  3. Grill for 2–3 minutes on each side.

  4. In a pan, lightly coat pine nuts with olive oil and toss until golden brown.

  5. Plate halloumi with pine nuts sprinkled on top, drizzle with honey or pomegranate molasses, and garnish with parsley.
